These are my favorite foods, in no particular order.
- 1) Fresh bi-color corn on the cob
- 2) Pizza*
- 3) Ribs
- 4) Ice cream
Corn on the cob is so easy to prepare. Shuck it, wash it, wrap it in a paper towel, wet the paper towel, and then microwave it for three minutes per ear. I have pizza at least once a week. Frozen will do, as it is much better than it used to be. I like sausage,* mushrooms, spinach, bacon,* and just about anything else that will fit on top of a pizza. Carson’s ribs are the best locally around Deerfield although Woodfire used to give them a run for the money before they closed. I like many varieties of ice cream although Moosetracks may be my favorite. I can still enjoy most of these foods despite my gout diet.
*I cannot have these because they can aggravate my gout, a condition caused by my chronic kidney disease.
