Living Donor Love

This morning I learned that I am ready for a kidney transplant! The final hurdle was visiting a urologist last month. He indicated that from his standpoint I was ready for a transplant. My Northwestern transplant nurse coordinator confirmed that my kidney transplant nephrologist, after reviewing my chart and all tests recently ordered, has given her approval for transplant. I next go to the transplant center in late June for an “interval” appointment. There is always the chance that more tests will be required in the future. But for now I can focus on finding a donor.
